What customers say?

“ I have traveled extensively in Peru and know Peruvian food. This comes closest to what you could call authentic Peruvian cuisine. The service is impeccable, food is delicious and pricing is fair. I know Calle López Cotilla up and down from one corner to the other miles away. There are a series of ethnic restaurants on this street, such as: Goa Indian, Lebanese street food restaurant whose name skips my memory, Morocco Kebab, Little Tokyo, small Korean restaurant and of course some American chains. Having traveled to all these countries, El Chauchy gets my award for the most authentic ethnic cuisine of all in the area. I had what I call as my comfort food - ‘Chifa’ cooking style Lomo Saltado. A lesson in history itself given influence of the large Chinese immigrant population in 19th century. The last two times I had Lomo Saltado was in Lince (non touristy neighborhood of Lima) and in Moema São Paulo in a Peruvian restaurant. And of course there were adoring Alpacas at both restaurants outside of Peru except this one in GDL has a mariachi hat on! Go for it, you will love it. ”

“ Best Peruvian restaurant in Guadalajara IMHO. Overall the dishes are close to what you find in Peru. Some nice touches to be appreciated: the chicha morada is made from imported purple corn. The spicy sauces (ají) are very authentic. The ceviche was really good an so the Lomo Saltado. I’ll be coming back here every time I can while in Guadalajara. ”
